Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)
How NLP is used in my work
In my practice, NLP is used reflectively and collaboratively, often alongside other coaching- or counselling-informed approaches. Rather than trying to control thoughts or force change, NLP techniques may support increased awareness of habitual patterns and how these patterns affect emotions, confidence, and decision-making.
Some people find NLP helpful for:
noticing unhelpful patterns of thinking
increasing self-awareness and choice
exploring confidence and motivation
understanding internal dialogue and self-criticism
improving communication and interpersonal awareness
NLP is not a therapy and is not used as a standalone treatment for mental health difficulties. It is offered as a supportive, exploratory approach, tailored to individual needs and preferences.
A collaborative approach
Any NLP-informed work is approached gently and at a pace that feels appropriate. Techniques are offered as options, not directives, and are only used where they feel supportive and relevant to the work we are doing together.
